IT is a critical component of the scientific instruments the CERN is providing for fundamental physics. Therefore, the quality of services provided by the IT team is crucial and needs to be at its best. But, improving the way IT is delivering services to the users is a difficult task. Using ITIL is one way to improve the management of IT.
