ABSTRACT

The BaBar experiment is designed to study CP violation in the B-Meson system using the asymmetric B-Factory at SLAC. The acquisition system for BaBar is described with an emphasis on the real-time component of this system called "DataFlow". The requirements (both from a functional and performance perspective) will be described along with the architecture necessary to meet these requirements. Novel aspects of the DAQ system will be pointed out, and the current operational status of the system summarized.
